Description

We tend to think of insects as pests or nuisances. However, in many ways, insects are just like us. Your instructor’s fascination with science and nature will add to the study of insects’ elaborate mating rituals, a variety of parenting styles, and a plethora of careers—from architects and engineers, to farmers and ranchers. Insects share complex information, significantly impact their environment and recycle. Our planet belongs to insects and their survival is essential for ours. In Part 1 we will explore life cycles, behaviors and communication, insects we can’t live without, plants that partner with insects and insects as food.

See course #212 for Part 2 of 2.
