Description
Professor George Bent continues the story of Leonardo da Vinci’s life and works. The beginning lecture explains the threats to the Italian Renaissance in the 1440s and the fall of Milan to the French. During this time Leonardo traveled to other Italian city-states to pursue his art, and startling discoveries in his study of nature, anatomy and engineering. Professor Bent stresses how Leonardo serves as a role model applying the scientific method to every aspect of life. A full discussion is given on Leonardo’s portraits including his two masterpieces: The Last Supper and Mona Lisa, which made Leonardo the most universal painter of all time. You did not have to attend Part 1 to enjoy this famous Renaissance Man in Part 2.
