Description

Join us for this informative and light-hearted workshop with Michael Rehberg, Lead Interpreter for Lake Geneva’s Black Point Estate and Gardens- operated by the Wisconsin Historical Society. Learn how beer is a mix of simplicity and complexity…simple enough that illiterate peasants have been making it for centuries with ingredients at hand, while its complexities still challenge modern brewing scientists and chemists. We’ll go back to Mesopotamia and Egypt and discover how beer evolved in Europe and America. Our goal is to understand ingredients and methods of brewing so you can learn the spectrum of flavors and find a beer you will enjoy. We’ll travel to some of television’s favorite taverns, and introduce some of the more popular craft brewers from Wisconsin and throughout the country.

Monday: Dec. 11   1:30 – 2:45 p.m.   Room 104
