In its 220-year history, only five (5) women Justices have served on the Supreme Court: Sandra Day O’Connor (1981-2005), Ruth Bader Ginsburg (1993-2020), Sonia Sotomayor (2009-present, Elena Kagan (2010-present), and Amy Coney Barrett (Oct 2020-present). In Part 2, you will learn more about the Supreme Court and the personal journeys of two (2) of these trailblazing women: Sonia Sotomayor, the first Latina Supreme Court Justice and Elena Kagan, the first woman Solicitor General and Supreme Court Justice.
